Free presentation by Doak Marasco, consultant arborist for the City, regarding the Winter Moth and how this moth impacts trees in SE MA. This program is open to the public and is sponsored by the FRSTPP, Inc. and the Parks Advocacy Group. The FRSTPP encourages citizens that received trees from Greening the Gateway Cities Tree Planting Project to attend and learn how to address the Winter Moth issue.

TREE FARM WINTER PREPARATION
There is still some work that needs to be done at the Tree Farm before the winter. Tim Lockett is planning on being there next Saturday, November 7th at 9AM. There are several holes that need to be filled so if someone could bring an extra wheelbarrow that would be very helpful. If there is time we could lift some trees that have been planted too low. Everyone is welcome unless it rains then stay home.

Presented by the Ma. Dept. of Conservation and Recreation Urban and Community Forestry Program
Sponsored by the USDA Forest Service and Ma. Tree Wardens" & Foresters" Association.
This is an annual program designed for community Tree Board members, Tree Wardens, tree activists, planners and interested citizens.
It will provide foundation training in tree physiology, tree assessment, municipal tree management, and other urban and community forestry issues.
The Fall River Street Tree Planting Program, Inc. encourages members to attend and will help members pay for this two day training.
